2021 Junior Rugby Kick Start Initiative
The Sir Anthony Wharton Trust are looking to ‘kick-start’ support for Junior Rugby throughout NLD, by distributing 20 size 3 and 4 balls to all clubs with multi team Junior sections. This exceptional initiative, in addition to the support grants the Trust regularly gives out, is to help 40 plus NLD clubs, with Minis and Juniors during these challenging times.
The Trust will distribute more than 800 balls with collection via 6 venues, (2 in each County) in the New Year once final plans are confirmed.
Delivery is to take place firstly, through Carlton Technologies of Chesterfield, who have generously agreed to support plans by stockholding the balls. MD Max Crampton, who played Junior Rugby for Chesterfield and NLD before a Senior career at Bakewell Mannerians said …… “It’s great to be able to support this effort by The Wharton Trust at this time. Any practical help for clubs to help kick-start the game going forward is a huge bonus.”
All Junior sections in NLD need to ensure the Trust receive up to date Club / Junior contact details (Name, email and mobile phone), to ensure they are included in the distribution. Please send this information c/o Trustee Dave Spencer - email to [email protected] or text to 07891 865941.
