Why a Trustee? The Sir Anthony Wharton Trust plays an important role in supporting the development of rugby for young people in Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. I am very happy to be a Trustee as their work ties in with the NLD Age Grade Team activities.
Rugby Philosophy Like all sports, rugby is at its best when it is competitive and fair. Rugby’s core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship are always important pillars, maintaining what is special about the game. To these, I would add an emphasis on inclusivity. All of these values can be challenged in the heat of competition, but we should hold firm to ensure everyone enjoys their rugby.
